Description
This is a non-conformist chapel and attached cottage, dated 1824. The building is constructed of coursed and squared stone with a clay tile roof featuring coped verges. An integral end stack is also of coursed and squared stone. To the left is a two-story, single-bay cottage, with the first floor lit from the rear. To the right is a single-story, two-bay chapel, all under a single roof. The chapel has fixed light windows containing coloured glass to its right and centre, and a door with a raised keystone and a fixed light window to the left. A datestone on the east gable is inscribed "Primitive / Methodist Chapel Erected / at the Sole Expence / of David Smith / A.D. 1824."
