Description
The Coach House and Coachman's Lodgings, located approximately 60 meters north of Wychnor Hall, dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped tile roof with side and ridge stacks. The building is designed in an H-plan layout and has two storeys with attics.
On the north side, there are raised bands at the plinth and first-floor level, cogged eaves, and segmental-headed, small-pane, two-light casement windows—one in each projecting flanking wing and three in the central recess. There are also blocked windows on the ground floor of the left wing and the first floor of the right wing. The central recess features three grouped segmental-headed coach entries with boarded doors, and there are 20th-century brick steps leading up to the first floor of the right wing, although the door there is now blocked.
The east side elevation has three windows and a central entrance, while the south elevation includes a stepped tripartite casement window on the ground floor to the right.
