Description
This lodge, located approximately 20 yards south of the Triumphal Arch at Quixhill, dates from the early 19th century and is built of ashlar stone. It has a square plan and features a simple neo-classical style. The building is a single storey with a single cell and includes blind windows that have painted glazing bars, all set within a Tuscan portico that is distyle in antis. It is topped with a triangular pediment and has a plain parapet with a projecting band. This lodge is part of a significant group that marks a former entrance to Alton Towers.
