Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 2 meters northeast of the former garden walls to the northwest of the stables at Apley Castle. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is constructed of English garden wall bond brick. The dovecote features a pyramidal plain tile roof, which is topped by a lantern added in the 1980s. It has a square plan and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor has large semi-circular arched entries, while the first floor has a semi-circular arched doorway. An interior inspection was not possible at the time of the survey. This structure is included for its group value.
