Description
The former kitchen garden walls to the west of the stables at Apley Castle date from around 1800. These tall, stone-coped brick walls feature segmental-arched doorways and enclose an area of approximately 90 by 40 meters. The wall has a ramped section that ends with a square pier extending to the southeast. To the north, there is a range of early to mid-19th century garden buildings with gabled plain tile roofs. These buildings have segmental-arched doors and windows on their one-storey elevation, which is punctuated by three two-storey gables. Additionally, there is a bellcote and a ridge stack on the left. The house located at the southwest corner is not considered to have special architectural or historic interest.
