Description

The Church of St Andrew, built in 1867 by G.E. Street, is a Grade II listed sandstone church featuring tiled roofs and details in the Early English style. The nave and chancel are combined into one space. The windows of the nave and the east window of the chancel are three-light geometric traceried windows, while the chancel's south windows consist of two lights. A polygonal lead fleche with goblets and finials sits over the nave. The north aisle includes lancet windows, and there is a four-bay north arcade supported by circular piers with moulded circular capitals and chamfered arches. The nave roof is arch-braced. The south window features stained glass created by Morris and Co in 1901. The churchyard contains some 18th-century gravestones.
