Description

Nos. 1 to 10 Carpenters Row are a row of simple cottages built in 1783 to house carpenters working at the Ironworks. The cottages are constructed of red brick and are two storeys high. They feature ten casement windows on the front, with the ground floor windows having cambered heads. Each cottage has a plain doorway with a plank door, and Nos. 7, 8, and 9 have later added wooden gabled canopies. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is covered with old tiles.
