The Chestnuts is a brick house built in the 18th or 19th century, featuring a moulded eaves cornice. It has two storeys and is designed with four sash windows that have glazing bars, flat heads, voussoirs, and keystones. There are two cambered head dormers and a two-storey, one-window wing that is set back to the right-hand side. This house was constructed by the Darby family for the Rector of Holy Trinity Church and was occupied by Abraham Darby IV in 1851.
