Description

Nos 42 and 43 on Darby Road are early to mid 19th century houses. They are constructed of brick with a plain tile roof and feature brick stacks. The buildings are two stories tall and have six windows, which are sashes set in reveals with glazing bars and cast-iron lintels. A panelled door is located in the third bay from the right, topped by a rectangular fanlight. The entrance is enhanced by a cast-iron portico supported by two Doric columns, with pilasters on the wall and a flat entablature with a moulded cornice. There is a later door in the second bay from the left.
