Description

The main range of pottery works, now serving as The Potteries Centre, is a late 19th-century building located on Chilton Street in Heron Cross, Stoke on Trent. Constructed from brick with a plain tiled roof, it features a two-storey, twelve-bay layout and a lower gable on the right side. The ground floor has an inserted doorway, while a blocked loading door is positioned above it. The main section includes fixed-light windows with cambered heads. To the left of the entrance, there is a wide hovel integrated into the main range that houses a reconstructed fritt kiln. The facade has undergone some alterations, including the removal of the top storey following a fire and the renewal of the entrance.
