Description
Tunstall Market is a market building constructed between 1857 and 1858, designed by G.T. Robinson of Leamington in a Neo-Classical style. The entrance block is made of channelled ashlar, while the rest of the structure is built from brick, featuring blue brick bands and stone dressings. The entrance bay is located to the west and includes a concave moulded archway topped with a massive entablature. To the east, there are six blind arcaded bays adorned with stone dressings and keystones, along with a heavy stone cornice and a rusticated plinth. Inside, the market features wrought-iron roof trusses supported by cast-iron columns.
