Description
The Church of St Saviour is a parish church located on Ford Green Road in Smallthorne, Stoke on Trent, built around 1840. It features random rubble construction with ashlar dressings and plain tiled roofs that have ridge cresting. The church consists of a nave with two aisles and a chancel. There is a gabled north porch that has a hood mould over a moulded arched doorway. The north aisle is divided into three bays by buttresses, each containing 2-light Decorated windows. There is a doorway in the south aisle, along with similar windows. The west side of the church has a three-light Decorated window, which is flanked by buttresses. A small octagonal bell turret is supported on corbels at the western gable. The chancel features a three-light east window, and there is an added vestry on the north side.
