Shown on O.S. map as T Ward Green. Farmhouse. Early C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber-framed with pebbledashed infill on high pebbledashed plinth carried up to gable ends; graded slate roof. Three-unit baffle-entry plan. Framing: irregular square and rectangular panels, two from cill to wall plate. Three early C20 casements directly below eaves and three to ground floor, two to left and one to right of contemporary gabled porch with half-glazed outer door. Red brick ridge stack with moulded capping directly above entrance and integral end stack to left with late C20 red brick shaft. INTERIOR. Chamfered spine beams to ground floor. Timber frame (square panels) and jowled wall posts visible on first floor. Oak winder staircase to attic. Single-purlin roof in three bays plus bay to left for end stack (possibly formerly longer) has mixture of collar and tie-beam trusses and raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters. Early C20 two-storey gabled addition at right-angles to rear is not of special architectural interest.
