Description

The building is a coach house, stables, and cowhouse dating from the 18th century, with some 19th-century additions. It features a central range made of rubble, flanked by two brick wings set on a coursed rubble plinth, which has an ashlar chamfered plinth cap and quoins. The roofs are hipped and gabled, covered with plain tiles, and the smaller wing has an ashlar-coped gable with a pyramid finial and dentil course eaves. The structure has a U-shaped plan, consisting of a central stable range, a large coach-house wing, and a smaller cowhouse wing.

The exterior is single storey with a loft. The east front of the stables has two restored boarded doors, each accompanied by a wood mullion and transom window, all within brick segmental arched openings. To the left at loft level, there is a rubble stone dormer with a two-light casement featuring leaded lights. The south gable end has a boarded loft opening, while the rear part is covered by the cowhouse wing. The north gable is covered by the coach house.

On the cowhouse, the north front has a boarded door to the left and a two-light casement to the right, both in segmental arched openings, along with a boarded loft opening to the right and ventilation slits in the west gable end. The coach house features a doorway to the left of the south front with a two-panelled door, rusticated ashlar quoins, and flat lintel voussoirs with a raised shelved keystone. This is flanked by two windows with rusticated ashlar quoins and flat stone shelved lintels with raised keystones. There are two-light casements at each end at loft level and a boarded door to the rear, which has a two-stage chimney with a brick upper shaft. The interior has not been inspected.
