Description
The village pump, basin, and wall in Weston-under-Weston date from the mid- to late 19th century. The pump is made of painted cast iron and features a rectangular stone basin with rounded corners. It has a plain ringed shaft topped with a fluted cap and a domed top, along with a slightly curved handle and a decorated spout. There is a small wheel on the side of the shaft. The pump is situated within a rectangular walled enclosure that is open at the front. The wall is constructed of roughly coursed sandstone rubble and has plain coping with spur stones at the front. This structure is included for its group value.
