Description

The Tuckies, located above the river bank, is a late 17th-century building constructed of red brick, incorporating some stone from an earlier house. It has an E-shaped layout with a central porch and features two storeys plus an attic. The building has advanced gabled wings on either side and includes seven early 17th-century windows. The entrance is marked by a simple moulded wood doorcase, and there are four modern or restored dormers on the roof, which is covered with old tiles. The recess between the two wings is adorned with projecting attic eaves. Inside, the original staircase remains intact. Additionally, early 19th-century cast-iron railings are present on the south side of the property.
