Description

The bridge over the Hay inclined plane is a mid-19th century brick road bridge featuring a single segmental arch and a parapet with sandstone coping. The Hay inclined plane itself was constructed by William Reynolds in 1793 to connect the Shropshire Canal with the Coalport Canal, which runs alongside the River Severn.
