Gazebo and adjoining garden wall approx. 60 metres to north-west of Grinshill Hall

GV II

Gazebo and garden wall. Mid-C18 with probably early-to-mid C19 alterations. Gazebo: red brick with grey sandstone dressings; deep overhanging eaves to hipped plain tile roof. Gothick style. 2 storeys. One first-floor arched 2-light wooden casements with Y-tracery to each front except for first-floor boarded door to east approached by external L-plan flight of 12 sandstone and brick steps. Pair of small ground-floor round-arched 2-light windows with Y-tracery flanking central four-centred arched half-glazed panelled door with Y-tracery. The door and its surround are possibly mid-to late C19 alterations. C18 garden wall adjoining to west: red brick with sandstone base and coping. L-plan; approximately 65 metres long and 2 metres high. Ramped down slope to south. Mid-C19 (see straight joint) garden wall adjoining to east not included on this list.
