Description
This is a 17th-century house located next to the Stokesay Castle Hotel, which is not included in this listing. The house features a timber-frame and plaster construction with a corrugated-iron roof that has a central gable and extends over a rubble lean-to on the right. There is a rubble end stack with a brick superstructure on the left.
The building is single-storey with an attic. It has a 19th-century mullion and transom window with a central casement in a moulded case, along with a 2-light casement above it. There is also a 20th-century 4-light casement under a simple hood at the gable. The entrance is located on the left side of the lean-to and features a 19th-century part-glazed panelled door. The eaves are adorned with thatch-boards. On the right side, the house retains its 17th-century timber-frame and plaster, with a casement window featuring leaded lights under a simple hood at the gable-head, and a 18th-century 2-light casement and fixed light on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
