Hanwood Farmhouse

Hanwood Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick on a red sandstone ashlar plinth, topped with a plain tile roof. The building stands three storeys high and features a chamfered plinth with external brick end stacks. It has three bays, with glazing bar sash windows that have painted gauged brick heads and painted stone cills. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, where the lower two panels are flush and the upper four are glazed, topped by a radial fanlight. The door case includes reeded pilaster strips and carved brackets that support an open triangular pediment. At the rear, there are two gabled wings, each two storeys tall; one wing has an external brick end stack while the other has a lateral brick stack. The interior has not been inspected.
