Description
Broomfields Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with a gable-lit attic above a basement. The building features a plinth and overhanging eaves, along with integral brick end stacks. It has five bays, with boxed segmental-headed glazing bar sashes and a pair of segmental-headed openings in the basement to the right. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, where the lower two panels are beaded flush and the upper panels are raised and fielded. This door is framed by a three-part rectangular overlight and a pilastered surround, which has tall shaped brackets supporting a triangular pediment that is broken back to the centre. There are steps leading up to the door, flanked by low brick walls. The gable ends feature small attic casements. At the rear, there are two gabled wings, each one storey high with an attic, showcasing a dentil brick eaves cornice and an integral lateral brick stack. The interior has not been inspected.
