Description
The terrace, balustrade, and steps located immediately to the north-east of Brogyntyn Hall date from the mid-19th century. Constructed from sandstone ashlar, the walls supporting the balustrades and flanking the steps are rock-faced. The balustrades feature bulbous turned balusters. The north-east side includes upper and lower terraces that are connected by steps at each end. At the south-east end of the lower terrace, the balustrade curves around to meet the gate piers. These gate piers are made of sandstone ashlar with moulded plinths and capping, topped with ball finials. The area also includes decorated wrought-iron gates. The balustrade continues around to connect with a ha-ha, which is a low wall made of roughly coursed limestone rubble that extends in a slight curve for approximately 250 meters to the south-west.
