Description

SELATTYN AND GOBOWEN C.P. BROGYNTYN PARK SJ 23 SE 4/25 Terrace, balustrade and steps immediately to north-east of Brogyntyn Hall with attached gate piers, gates and ha-ha wall. GV II Terrace, balustrade and steps. Mid-Cl9. Sandstone ashlar, rock-faced to walls supporting balustrades and to those flanking steps. Bulbous turned balusters to balustrades. North-east side has upper and lower terraces connected by steps at each end. At south-east end of lower terrace balustrade carries round in curve to terminate in gate piers. Sandstone ashlar with moulded plinths and capping surmounted by ball finials. Decorated wrought- iron gates. Balustrade carries on round to meet ha-ha: low roughly coursed limestone rubble wall, which continues in a slight curve for a distance of approximately 250m to south-west.
