Description
The balustraded terrace located to the east of Hesleyside Hall is a late 18th-century structure that was re-sited in the mid-19th century. It features dry stone walling and ashlar. The dry stone supporting wall is topped with a balustrade that has vase-shaped balusters and a moulded coping. At the corners, there are plain square piers that serve as plinths for stone urns. The balustrade is interrupted in the center of the east side to create steps, which are flanked by similar urns on plinths.
