Description
This is a garden shed and garden wall located approximately 65 metres to the east of Harnage Grange in Cressage, built in the 17th century. The outbuilding is constructed of red brick in English bond on a coursed sandstone rubble plinth, topped with a stone slate roof. It is aligned east-west and is a single storey. The structure features stone-coped parapeted gable ends, with a weathervane on the west gable. There are slatted windows on the north side, a boarded door in the west gable, and a tall window along with a boarded door in the east gable.
The adjoining garden wall, also from the 17th century, has had its top six courses rebuilt in the 19th century. It is made of red brick on a coursed rubble plinth and measures approximately 25 metres long and 2-3 metres high. The wall has a chamfered offset to the east, a blocked doorway at the north end, and a boarded door at the south end.
