Description

The Jones Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 26 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St George. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth, sunken panels, a moulded cornice, and a concave capping that supports an egg-shaped finial. It commemorates Evan Jones, who died in 1782, Ann Jones, who died in 1774, William Jones, a surgeon, who died in 1812, and Anna Jones, who died in 1809.
