Description
The Cruciform House is a house built around 1598, with later alterations. It features pink sandstone ashlar on a chamfered plinth and has a plain tile roof with coped stone verges. The building has a cruciform plan and is two storeys high with attics. There are scattered 2-, 3-, and 4-light mullion windows, some of which have moulded dripstones. Late 19th-century dormers are present on the north and south sides. The main entrance is through a northern projection with 20th-century double doors. A central ridge stack with six attached shafts of star section was rebuilt in late 19th-century red brick. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to be considerably altered.
