Description
The ice house, located approximately 5 meters north-east of Longridge, is likely from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some later repairs and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and covered by an earth mound. The dome of the ice house has an approximate diameter of 14 meters and is accessed by a short tunnel, which has been truncated. The entrance, which is round-arched, was rebuilt in late 20th century brick. Longridge is not included in this listing.
