Description

No. 8 Dogpole is a shop and dwelling dating from around 1700. The building features lined-out stucco over brick and has a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range. The ground floor has an inserted shop front, while just above it are very short two-pane sash windows. The upper windows are also two-pane sashes, and there is a string course above them. The roof is steeply pitched and includes a flat dormer on the front elevation, along with an inserted casement window in the gable. At the rear, there is a parallel range that is two storeys tall, made of brick, with four sash windows and string courses at each storey, topped by a high blind attic.
