Description

This is a chest tomb located 14 metres south of the nave of the Church of Holy Trinity in Tugford. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a moulded cornice and has recessed inscribed panels. The corner piers are horizontally fluted, and there is a plain plinth that is recessed below the panels. The tomb commemorates Jeremiah Bebb, who died in 1821, and his wife Mary, who died in 1845.
