Description
This group of seven chest tombs, dating from around 1748 to 1827, is located approximately 15 meters west of the Church of St. Oswald. They are made of sandstone and are rectangular in shape. Each tomb features moulded plinths and capping. The earliest tomb, which is closest to the church, has an open-sided design with turned corner balusters and an inscription for Hannah Evanes, who died in 1748. The tomb immediately to the south has square corner balusters. The remaining tombs are simpler in design, with the latest two, dated 1803 and 1827 respectively, featuring recessed semi-circular inscription panels.
