Description
The estate bridge, built in the late 18th century, is located approximately 550 metres to the north-west of numbers 1 and 2, Tittenley Lodge, within Adderley civil parish. Constructed from dressed red and grey sandstone, the bridge features two segmental arches, each with round-topped semicircular breakwaters and flanking pilaster buttresses. It has quadrant wing walls and a moulded string course along the parapet, with square end piers that originally had globe finials, though these are missing from the north-west end as of July 1986. The bridge serves as a crossing for an estate track over the river Duckow, which was once the direct route connecting Tittenley Lodge and the now-demolished Shavington Hall.
