House, now restaurant. Circa 1600; extended C18; altered C19. Timber-framed with rendered panels; painted brick rear wing. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. Brick axial stack to rear wing. PLAN: Rectangular plan front range with C18 brick rear wing forming T-shaped plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Framing of front wall comprises storey-posts, heavy rails and studding. Ground floor has 4-light shop window with glazing bars, doorways to left and right, and fascia above with cornice and consoles. Two C20 first floor casements and two gabled dormers with casements with glazing bars. Gable-ended painted brick large rear wing. INTERIOR: Exposed timber-framing and chamfered ceiling beams.
