Description
No. 11 High Street is a shop and dwelling, now functioning solely as a shop, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a brick stack at the front. It stands three stories tall with a cellar and has a single window range. The ground floor has an 8/8 sash window in a broad case beneath a gauged brick flat arch, with a similar window above it under a rendered lintel. At the top, there is a stone coped parapet.
The early 20th-century shopfront includes a half-glazed door with a fanlight to the right and a plate glass window. The front facing Market Street has two-light casement windows under segmental arches on the first and second floors, with brick modillion eaves. There is a 19th-century door with a 20th-century light and a blocked light to the right, situated in a much altered opening. To the right, there is a spurstone and a blocked opening beneath an oak lintel, along with a string-course above.
