Description
The Bailey Head is a house that has been converted into an inn. It was originally built in the late 18th century and was re-fronted in the mid-19th century. The building is made of stuccoed and rendered red brick, featuring angle quoins, a slate roof, and brick end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a moulded eaves cornice and floor bands. The front has four windows, which are six-paned sashes with horns set in moulded stone surrounds that have projecting keystones on the first floor and segmental heads on the ground floor. The entrance is located in the third bay from the left and consists of a four-panel door with a rectangular overlight and a bracketed stone hood.
