Description

Little Hamperley is a cottage dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the mid to late 19th century. It features a roughcast timber frame and a squared and coursed limestone wall on the south side, topped with a plain tile roof. The building is aligned north-south and has an east-facing aspect, likely consisting of two framed bays. It is one storey high with an attic, and has two gabled eaves dormers on the east side, each containing 2-light casements. There is an integral brick and stone end stack on the south side. The east front includes a 2-light casement window to the left of a gabled porch. Little Hamperley is considered a fairly complete example of a wayside cottage.
