Description

No 14 on East Castle Street is a mid-19th century building constructed of red brick with blue brick headers. It stands three storeys high and features one sash window without glazing bars, as well as a three-light canted wood oriel window with a cornice. The building has plain bands and a doorcase made of moulded wood pilasters, which includes sidelights and a rectangular fanlight topped with a moulded stucco cornice on consoles. The eaves are plain lined, and the roof is hipped and covered with tiles. This building is included for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes Nos 10 to 16 and St Mary's Church.
