Description
The chest tomb of William M Dawes is located 8 meters south of the church in St Michael's Churchyard in Sibdon Carwood. This Grade II listed chest tomb is made of sandstone and commemorates William Menlove Dawes, who died in 1837. It features a pyramidal moulded slab supported by fluted pilasters and a chamfered plinth, along with moulded cartouches. The inscription includes a note describing him as "an industrious farmer." This tomb is identical to the adjacent tomb.
