Description

Lower Wood Farmhouse is a circa 1800 farmhouse with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled hipped roof. The house is two storeys high, and features a projecting central gabled break. There are three sash windows, with plastered lintels above. A central entrance has a 20th-century half-glazed door and rectangular overlight, set within a doorcase featuring a fragmentary entablature and pediment. A dentilled eaves cornice runs around the building, and there are two stacks positioned behind the ridge.
