Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 50 metres to the north-west of Walcot Hall. It is likely from the 17th century and was remodeled in the late 19th century. The structure is built from coursed rubble and squared and coursed limestone, topped with a conical plain tile roof. It has a circular plan and consists of one storey with a loft. There are three hipped dormers, each featuring two tiers of dove entrances. At the center, there is an octagonal wooden cupola that also has two tiers of dove entrances, topped with an ogee lead cap and a globe finial. The south-west side has a boarded door, while the north-east side contains two blocked arched windows and a relieving arch above a blocked door. Inside, there are nesting holes and a ladder leading to the loft.
