SUTTON UPON TERN CP TAYLEUR DRIVE (east side) Garden retaining wall approximately 100 metres to west of Buntingsdale Hall

GV II Garden retaining wall. Circa 1721 with some C20 alterations. Red brick with moulded red sandstone coping. Approximately 50 metres long with central apsidal projection to east. Plinth and pilaster buttresses. Some later battered buttresses. Square end piers with moulded stone caps.

The wall retains the garden to the east of Buntingsdale Hall (q.v.) above the estate road and ornamental lake, and is axially aligned with the east front of the house.
