Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to Elizabeth Bright, located 8 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Ashford Bowdler. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a plain flat lid, inscribed side panels, and corner piers. It has a simple chamfered plinth. The memorial commemorates Elizabeth, the wife of George Bright, who died in 1818.
