Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to William Wordsworth, located one metre south of the nave of the Church of St Andrew in Ashford Bowdler. It dates from the late 18th century and features a plain rectangular lid made of ashlar, which has a bead and scotia edge moulding. The tomb is set on a four-course high plinth made of red brick. It commemorates the poet William Wordsworth, who died in 1787.
