Description
32 and 34 Chapel Street are an early 19th-century house built of roughcast brick. The roof is tiled, with stone coped gable ends featuring moulded kneelers. The house is two storeys high and three bays wide. Large, two-storey semi-circular bay windows flank the house on the left and right, featuring Tuscan columns and pilasters supporting entablatures, and curved sash windows. A single sash window is located centrally on the first floor. The original front door has been removed. The central doorway is distinguished by panelled pilasters, enriched console brackets, a fluted frieze with medallions, a moulded cornice, a traceried semi-circular fanlight, and a modern door. Brick chimney stacks are visible at the gable ends. A later gable has been added over the right-hand bay. A modern extension is located at the south end of No. 34.
