Description

Roden House is an early 19th-century house constructed of ashlar and rendered materials. It features a low-pitched hipped roof covered with Welsh slate and has overhanging eaves supported by modillions. The building has quoin pilasters, an eaves band, and a string course. It stands two storeys high with three bays and includes sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance is a round-arched doorway, which is framed by a stone porch with Ionic columns that support an entablature topped with a pediment. On the south side, there is a two-storey section with three bays and a central open ironwork porch that has a tent-shaped roof. The wings to the north are separate houses.
