Description

This is a raised slab memorial located 8 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Margaret, dating from the late 18th century. The memorial features an ashlar slab that is set on a coarse rubble plinth. The flat inscribed slab has incised quadrant corner ornamentation and a rounded cyma recta moulded edge. It is supported by three courses of stone. The memorial commemorates Jane, the wife of John Elp, who died in 1782, and Hannah, the wife of John Turner, who died in 1820.
