Description
The churchyard wall and gate at Petton Church were likely built around 1727, with the wrought-iron gate added in 1910, designed by Emma Florence Cunliffe of Petton Hall. The wall is made of red brick and features sandstone coping, sloping at the north-west and south-west corners. It is a low wall that encloses the churchyard on the north and west sides, partially extending to the south side. The wrought-iron gate, located roughly in the center of the west side, is decorated with intricate floral motifs and is dated 1910. Additionally, there is a stone stile immediately to the north, which was also installed at the request of Mrs. Cunliffe. This structure is included for its group value.
