Description
31 and 33 Bailey Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built in the early 19th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of stuccoed red brick and features a slate roof with a central pediment and internal end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a wooden eaves cornice that extends around the pediment, which is adorned with small bracketed segmental pediments at the corners. The front has three windows, fitted with glazing bar sashes, with the upper central window located under a segmental stone pediment. The shopfront, added in the late 20th century, has a segmental-headed design with recessed doorways on either side of the centre.
