Description

This is a headstone commemorating Samuel Cheese, who died in 1736, and his wife Anne, who died in 1739. It is located 11 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Ashford Bowdler. The memorial dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of ashlar stone. It features a double inscribed panel with a carved head above an enriched face above each panel.
