Description

The Lawns is an early 18th-century building located on Church Street in Broseley. It is constructed of red brick and features three storeys. The façade includes two sash windows with flat brick arches and large keyblocks, as well as a convex three-light bow window on the left side that is also tiered across three storeys. The building has quoins and an enriched rainwater head that is dated 1727. Inside, there is a good original staircase and fireplaces. The house is historically significant as it was the residence of John Wilkinson, an ironmaster known for his association with Boulton and Watt in the late 18th century.
