Description

Nos 53 and 54 on High Street are a pair of well-preserved Regency houses. They are built of red brick and stand three storeys tall, featuring five sash windows that have moulded lintels and enriched keyblocks. The houses share identical stuccoed doorcases, which are adorned with fluted pilasters, square fanlights, and a moulded cornice above. The eaves are decorated with dentilled plaster, and there are 19th-century railings in front of the properties.
